Jessica's Wish is Community Partnerships, Inc.'s first memorial fund set up to help children and their families during times of need. Jessica Lynn Hicks entered into rest of her own will on August 1, 2001, at the age of fifteen. Jessica was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder at the age of nine. Treatment included several hospitalizations, psychiatric care, a rigorous medication regime and individual and family counseling. Jessica's treatment successes were limited, although she did benefit from the one-to-one support service.
This one-to-one support helped Jessica build skills and provided structured and supervised activities. Individual, qualified care is often needed, but difficult to find for children with mental illness. My hope is that Jessica's Wish will be able to provide additional funding for services needed by children with special needs.
Jessica was my gift, and for that I am grateful. In turn, the goal of Jessica's Wish is to help support children to feel special and self-confident. Your donation to Jessica's Wish is needed so that other children involved with Community Partnerships can continue to receive outstanding quality care.
My most sincere thanks to you and your family for taking the time to consider the importance of Jessica's Wish. One hundred percent of the Jessica's Wish fund will be used to directly support families and your donation is tax deductible.
